The Mayor has jurisdiction to hear and determine any prosecution for the violation of any village ordinance, and has the jurisdiction in all criminal causes involving traffic violations occurring on state highways located within the corporate limits, subject to the right of the defendant to trial by jury and before an impartial magistrate. Mayors Court is held the First and Third Mondays at 9:00 am in council chambers.

April Allen serves as the Clerk of Mayors Court. Her duties include endorsement, filing and entering of all orders, decrees, judgments and proceedings of the Mayors Court. She sends reports to the Supreme Court of Ohio as required by the rules of the court and the Ohio Revised Code. The Mayors Court Clerk is appointed by the Mayor and is subject to his or her supervision and control.
