The mission of the Solicitor is to protect the interests of the Village of Hicksville and its taxpayers by advising council and village department heads concerning legality of proposed actions and by drafting and reviewing legal documents to which the Village is a party.

The Village Solicitor advises and represents the Village as to all legal matters affecting the village. This includes prosecuting the misdemeanor crimes that occur within the Village corporation limits, drafting legislation, reviewing and approving all contracts and other agreements, and serving as legal counsel to the Village on all matters.
